There are 4 different targeting conditions:
Mandatory Enrollment
When this is set the users meeting the targeting condition are required to do the course and are automatically enrolled in the course.
I see this condition mainly being used for training Sandler Internals. This will likely not be used by Franchises.
Self Enrollment
When you meet self enrollment conditions you can view the course in the catalog and enroll in the course without having to purchase the course.
Authorized Enrollment
This option will not be used by Sandler. But you can set an authorized enrollment condition, meaning that learners can request enrollment and someone (e.g. a manager) will need to approve the request for enrollment. This requires a workflow to be configured.
Purchasable Enrollment
This means that users meeting purchasable enrollment conditions are required to purchase the course before being able to enroll themselves or others.
Example:
The Sales Mastery channel has purchasable targeting set for the following parent organizations:
- SANDLER (44647297)
- SANDLER DEMO-TEST (44650580)
This means that anyone in these two organizations and their child organizations can purchase this channel.
E.g. the child organizations of SANDLER (44647297) are:
- CAAS (44647843)
- ENTERPRISE (44647840)
- FRANCHISE (44647841)
- MASTER FRANCHISE (44647842)
- PUBLIC (44647839)
- SANDLER INTERNAL (44920411)
- SANDLER INTERNALS (44647838)
All users in these organizations and their child orgs are targeted and can purchase the channel but only when:
- The Channel has a Product Classification set
- The Channel has a Base Price
- The user belongs to an organization with a price factor set
- The user has a region assigned
