Help for Organization Create
The ability to create Organizations within the LMS enables the creation of a permissions model. This allows users to be assigned to certain Organizations where they will have access to the correct information within the LMS.
Parent Organization: This is pre-filled based on where you were on the Organization tree. Ensure this is correct.
Name: New Organization name.
Short Name: New Organization short name, in some cases this is the reference code customers used i the previous system. There should never be spaces as this will be used in the URL to the logged out catalog.
Catalog Email Request: This in combination with the “Order to Address” below enables the Request for Quote functionality in the catalog. When the organization type is using a template it will be set on the child organization that contains the End Users and will need to be set to "Yes" for Enterprise, Franchise, Master Franchise and Sub-Franchise organizations.
Order to Address: This in combination with the “Catalog Email Request” above enables the Request for Quote functionality in the catalog. If you selected "Yes" for “Catalog Email Request” than you will need to provide an email address. This is the email address that will receive the request for quote.
SAGE ID: Provide the SAGE ID (sometimes referred to as Accounting ID) of the Organization.
Organization type: Select the correct Organization type from the drop down. The Enterprise, Franchise, Master Franchise and Sub-Franchise Organization types are linked to a template. These will require a parent content folder to be assigned.
Parent Content Folder: Select the parent folder in the Learning Navigator. This is where the content folders related to your organization will be created. The correct folder will automatically be populated for the Enterprise, Franchise and Master Franchise Organization types.
Sub-Franchise organizations are linked to their Master Franchise. In the case of a Sub-Franchise Organization type you will need to select the " - Sub-Franchises" content folder.
